Pietro Babina
was born in Bologna in 1967.
1989/90 fonda a Bologna con Fiorenza Menni la compagnia teatrale Teatrino Clandestino, con la quale produrrà 37 tra spettacoli e applicazioni e 9 tra video e films vincendo diversi premi sia per gli uni che per gli altri.
Con queste produzioni ha ricevuto negli anni numerosi premi e riconoscimenti nazionali ed internazionali. È stato coprodotto ed ha debuttato e girato nei principali teatri e festival italiani ed europei con i seguenti spettacoli:

Nel 2010 decide intraprendere un nuovo percorso ed esce da Teatrino Clandestino

AESTHETICS LINE GUIDE
- In the course of the years the productions collaboration were always more qualified, from “Tempesta(melologo)” coproduction by Teatro Stabile dell’Emilia Romagna, then “Si prega di non discutere di casa di bambola” and “Hedda Gabler” with the Biennale di Venezia, until Iliade” the first international coproduction.
- With the show“Si prega di non discutere di casa di bambola” a new research work started that saw the introduction of video's projections with a dramaturgical and stage role.
- From that moment onwards Pietro Babina has felt the necessity to confront his research with the movie image in a total way, so he created the show “Madre e assassina”
- In 2008 with "Candide" a new aesthetic change. Babina left the video on stage, to approach a visual production. This research study continued with "no-signal", a 2009 production.
- Pietro Babina confronted himself with the musical problem, as central leitmotif of his dramaturgical work, both as compositor and performer or director.
- In 2005 he started the collaboration with the painter Flavio de Marco with whom he shares the visual art project MANIFESTO. An open opera that compares the two artists on an aesthetic, ethic and biographic level, through the artwork.

- Pietro Babina in his artistic experience has always confronted himself with the image imperative following a basic inspirational leitmotiv ,later defined as “recollection ”, looking, in his rhythmical , formal and dramaturgical relations, for elements, which are the subject of narration, an anticommunicative direction, and for a composition which allows the onlookers to be absolutely subjective as to understanding and interpretation. In his works he always tries to escape from an objective work of knowledge or from the even more awful form of monument.
